How SlickRish makes money (and how it doesn’t)
SlickRish is a one-person deal hunt. I pick the Top 10 myself. Everything else comes from my scanner, which watches public deal feeds. Nobody pays to be featured.
As an Amazon Associate, SlickRish earns from qualifying purchases.
What that means
Many links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and end up buying something, the store (Amazon or another retailer) pays SlickRish a small commission. Using an affiliate link costs you nothing extra: the commission comes out of the store’s pocket, not yours. (Prices themselves do change, and often: see About prices.)
Woot deals
Woot is owned by Amazon but runs its own affiliate programme through the CJ Affiliate network, so Woot links here are CJ links rather than Amazon Associates links. It works the same way for you: the commission comes from Woot, and using the link costs you nothing extra.
Cashback programs
The Rakuten and Capital One Shopping buttons are my referral links. If you sign up through them, you still get the same cash back those programs advertise; SlickRish may also earn a referral bonus. That bonus never changes what you pay.
What it doesn’t mean
Nobody pays to have a deal listed, and commissions never decide what I pick. The rules every Top 10 pick has to pass are written down: how I pick deals. Anything outside the Top 10 is marked “Scanner find”: my software found it on a public deal feed, and I haven’t reviewed it one by one.
About prices
Every price on SlickRish shows the time it was last checked (Pacific time). Stores end promotions early and stock runs out, so prices and availability can change at any time without notice. Always confirm the final price in your cart before you buy.
Amazon: Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon.com at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of this product.
The same goes for every other store: the price and availability shown on the store’s site when you buy are the ones that apply.
Amazon prices appear on SlickRish only for 24 hours after they were checked; after that a deal says “Check live price” instead. I don’t track Amazon prices over time or send Amazon price alerts. To see how an Amazon price has moved, use the Price History link on the Amazon product page.
