SlickRish is a one-person deal site. This policy is short because the site collects very little.

Text messaging (SMS)

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

SlickRish sends deal alerts by text only to people who entered their mobile number on www.slickrish.com and ticked the consent box. Message frequency varies — approximately one message per day, and only on days there are new deals. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See also our Terms of Service.

What we collect

  • If you subscribe: your email address and/or mobile number, the date you signed up, and a record of the consent wording you agreed to.
  • Anonymous usage counts: how many people visited, how many clicked a deal, and how far down the page people scrolled. These are plain numbers held by SlickRish — no profiles, and no IP addresses are stored.
  • Google Ads measurement: when SlickRish advertises, Google's tag tells us that an advert led to a visit. When you click a deal link to a store, the tag also reports that click to Google, so SlickRish can see which adverts led to someone clicking through to a store. Outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it may set a cookie in your browser to do that. Inside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it is switched off by default: no advertising or analytics cookie is set and no advertising identifiers are sent, so Google estimates those results in aggregate instead. You can opt out anywhere through Google Ads Settings.
  • Affiliate impression reporting: on the deals page only, a tag from CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction) counts how many times advertiser links were shown. CJ states that this impression data may be shared with advertisers and other third parties. It measures pages and links, not people: it is not given your name, email address or mobile number, and SlickRish receives only totals. CJ's own privacy policy covers what they do with it.
  • Votes: when you tap 👍 or 👎 we store a one-way scrambled fingerprint so the same person can't vote twice. It cannot be turned back into your identity.
  • SlickRish app: the iPhone and Android apps load the same public deal feed as this website. Saved deals stay on your device. Votes use the same one-way fingerprint as the website. The app does not create an account and does not add advertising trackers.

SlickRish does not sell, rent, or share your email address or phone number with anyone. Ever.

How we use it

Your email address is used to send the daily deal digest and nothing else. Your mobile number is used to send the daily deal text and nothing else — we never share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent is not shared with any third parties.

Who processes your data

Sending the messages requires two service providers: Resend delivers the email and Twilio delivers the texts. They process your address or number solely to deliver our messages. The site and its data are hosted on Netlify. Google measures whether an advert led to a visit and CJ Affiliate counts advertiser link impressions, both as described above; neither ever receives your email address or mobile number.

Getting out, or getting removed

Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and most inboxes also show an unsubscribe button next to the sender. Every text can be stopped by replying STOP. To have your details deleted entirely rather than just deactivated, use the unsubscribe page and say so, or ask via the site.

Affiliate links

Links to stores are affiliate links. When you follow one, the store — not SlickRish — may set its own cookies and apply its own privacy policy. See the affiliate disclosure for how that works.

Children

SlickRish is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
